Phantom of the Opera Memories & Ballet Unpopulaire Sweatshirt

To the show that helped make me who I am today ~Thank you Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and offer my deepest condolences to you with the passing of your son, Nick.
Phantom of the Opera closed on April 16th after its record-breaking 35- year-run on Broadway. This was the same date that I began rehearsals at 890 Broadway for the First National Tour 33 years ago. With all the nostalgia associated with the Broadway show closing, I revisited my time as a dancer with the original cast of the National Tour… A lot of cities, a lot of memories and a lot of dear, dear friends.
On tour, there was a silly sweatshirt made about the dancers. We often needed more rehearsal, especially of the scene, Il Muto. We’d act surprised and aghast that we had to put on our pointe shoes to practice a dance that is performed on pointe. After some time on the tour, a sweatshirt about this appeared backstage with stagehands and management; we must have really been a lamentable mess! So, I have been meaning to revive this backstage merch item for years and and if you want one, here it is! I hope it makes you smile too. Yes, that is a cake. We would have a-lot of cakes to celebrate birthdays and show milestones.
